ABP World Championship

After winning the Grand Prix of Italy, Reiterer seemed to be on point for another Championship run and defending his Gold medal. However, the luck for the team turned by the second round of the season in Spain. Reiterer had a solid second place finish in first moto but scored 0 points in the second moto due to a broken driveshaft, while he was going for the lead and the overall win. “It is a big setback for the title hunt”, says Reiterer. But stays optimistic because between Spain and the upcoming race (24-25. September- Shanghai) the team has something new coming our way. The Austrian and his race ski provider SDC have been working on a completely redesigned SDC TRAK model for the Pro racer. Kevin was already able to clinch the European Title and the Nordic Champion on his new boat with a second place counting the worst finish.

The stage has been set for Shanghai and the defending World Champion is optimistic to put everything he has got on the line to keep the Championship in sights.

Nach dem Sieg vom großen Preis Italiens, startete Reiterer dort wo er letztes Jahr aufhörte. Es sah alles danach aus, dass Reiterer ohne große Komplikationen am Weg zu einem weiteren Titel war – Doch das Blatt wendete sich – Mit einem souveränen zweiten Platz im ersten Lauf des großen Preis von Spanien war Reiterer Top Anwerter für den Sieg. Eine gebrochene Antriebswelle änderte dies. Mit null Punkten fiel Reiterer auf Platz vier zurück. “Es war ein großer Schlag nach hinten und der Rückstand ist beträchtlich”, so Reiterer. Aber der Profi Sportler bleibt optimistisch. Während des Sommers entwickelte das Rennteam und Kevin einen verbessertes Rennmodell des SDC Traks. Mit einem Europameistertitel und “Nordic Champion” Titel scheint Reiterer sehr zufrieden mit dem neuem Boat.

Die Bühne ist bereit für das Rennen in der Millionenmetropole Shanghai, China  am 24-25 September. Der amtierende Weltmeister wird sein Bestes geben um die Meisterschaft in Sicht zu behalten.
