The young Austrian finished fifth after a devastating breakdown at the UAE Championship in Abu Dhabi due to a small technical failure, which put him into fifth at last weekend’s race. With another week of testing on his new machine Reiterer gained more and more confidence going into this weekend’s race in Dubai. With two holeshots and a great lead in both Motos the sportsman went on to win the Grand Prix of Dubai. This puts himself into a great position for the overall UAE Championship. The weekend was hardly fought by an international field of Pro riders, such as multi time World Champion Steven Dauliach, French World Championship rider Raphael Maurin, Ludovic Coumont and not to forget the young and upcoming local Salman Alawadhi.

The UAE Championship is onto a break for a week and will host its final round at the beachfront of Dubai at the end of this month.

 

Reiterer nimmt Fahrt auf

Nach einem Ausfall vergangenes Wochenende in Abu Dhabi musste der Niederösterreicher die Führung in der Gesamtwertung an seine Konkurrenten abgeben. Mit einem fünften Platz war es ein nüchternes Ergebnis für Reiterer. Die darauffolgende Woche verbrachte der Profi Sportler in Dubai um mehr Zeit auf seinem neuen Jet zu verbringen und weitere Tests durchzuführen. Zwei Start Ziel Siege mit großem Vorsprung sprachen für die harte Arbeit.

 

Durch den Wochenendsieg holte sich der Österreicher die Gesamtführung zurück und positionierte sich ideal für das Finale in Dubai, Ende dieses Monats.
